Jennifer Lopez Diet

Jennifer Lopez, aka J. Lo, is 40 years old, yet she’s still one very bootylicious lady! This Latina Hollywood A-List star is not just a triple threat – singer, actress, dancer, she’s also a wife to singer Marc Anthony and a mother to twins! No doubt this woman’s got her hands full. So people can’t help but wonder: With all these things going on in her life, how in the world does J.Lo manage to stay as sexy as she is?
J. Lo says she’s basically just like anybody else, wherein she has a body type that she needs to keep in tip top shape via having a healthy weight loss diet plan and a good fitness training exercise program. The Jenny from the Block singer generously shares with us her diet plan and fitness training exercise program below.

The Jennifer Lopez Diet Plan

Jennifer Lopez says that she doesn’t have anything banned from her diet plan and she’s certainly not one of those fitness and health freaks who believe in not eating sugar or leaving dairy products out.“ Although there are a lot of weight loss diet plans out there, J. Lo says she’s not one of those celebrities who jump on the bandwagon of crazy weight loss diet plans. So how did she manage to lose weight after giving birth to her twins? Portion control and a sensible approach to nutrition are how she says she keeps her million dollar body in top shape. “I eat almost everything, but in moderation,” the Latina star proudly admits. “I’ve never gone on any diets.”
Occasionally, when she’s trying to lose weight for a role, she limits her carbohydrate intake. She also makes sure to draw one very strict line on bad habits, that’s why part of her healthy weight loss diet plan is to not drink nor smoke and she doesn’t do drugs either.
Peterson, her fitness trainer also revealed that the songstress/actress has a weight loss program that uses the meal delivery service, Freshology and sticks to 1,200 to 1,400 calories a day. And like all good celebrities, she makes sure to include lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, good fats and low glycemic carbs in her diet plan.

Jennifer Lopez Fitness Training Exercise Program

Jennifer works with celebrity fitness trainer, Gunnar Peterson who also worked closely with stars such as Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz on their fitness training exercise program. According to J.Lo’s fitness trainer, she’s not one to blow off her fitness training exercises just because she’s working 18 hours a day on the set. He said that J. Lo allocates about 60-90 minutes for exercise, two to six days a week. Her fitness training exercise program typically includes:
Dancing: It’s no secret that Jennifer Lopez gets her exercise from dancing which she loves to do. In fact, she says dancing has got to be her favourite form of exercise ever. Hip hop and jazz are her favourite styles and she burns lots of calories while she’s having fun.
Yoga: The life of a busy Hollywood superstar is certainly stressful, but yoga exercises helps Jenny workout her body as she de-stresses after a long day.
Cardio Exercises: Jenny’s fitness training tip, when hitting the gym, don’t stay in just one of those fitness machines for 30 minutes. Mix up your fitness training exercise program to include five minute intervals on exercise equipments such as the treadmill, elliptical, stair stepper, rowing machine and stationary bike.
Weight Training: J.Lo knows that adding weights to one’s fitness training is key to looking strong and sexy in any situation.
Lopez says that when she was younger, she was into hard physical exercise but now, she feels that what’s more important to her now is trying to find a balance of mind, body and spirit.

Top Five Newest Celebrity Fitness Trends

Celebrities seem to set the trends for fashion, beauty and fitness. It is encouraging to see celebs workout because it allows us to know they have to be physically active to stay in good shape and maintain an ideal weight. It reminds us that they are no different from us, aside from the fact that they are famous. You don't have to be a celebrity or be famous to enjoy these top five newest celeb fitness trends.
Hula Hooping is one of the top five newest fitness trends.

#1 Yogalosophy

Several celebrities participate in and believe in yogalosophy, a combination of union (yoga) and experience (-losophy). Mandy Ingber created yogalosophy, and she has numerous celebrity clients, including Jennifer Aniston. Victoria Beckham is one of the newest celebrities to practice yogalosophy. Beckham works out in the comfort of her own home with the help of Ingber's workout DVD. Kate Beckinsale, Ricki Lake and Brooke Shields are other celebs known for enjoying this new fitness trend.
#2 Kangoo jumps
Kangoos are a low impact jumping boot made particularly for jogging and running. They allow joggers to achieve an excellent workout with less impact than one would experience in regular sports shoes. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian started the pogo jogging trend when they were spotted wearing them in Miami Beach.
#3 Barefoot running
Barefoot running isn't actually running with bare feet; rather, it is running in shoes that give the sensation of running barefooted. The shoes look like rubber socks and are called Vibram Fivefingers. Matthew McConaughey attests that barefoot running is an efficient and safe exercise experience that energizes the muscles in the feet and calves. Kate Hudson, Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum have also been seen barefoot running in Vibram shoes.
#4 Soul cycling
SoulCycle is a spinning studio in New York, and soul cycling is a 45 minute combination of cycling and a spiritual encounter. This sounds like a unique combination of yoga and cycling to me since candles are lit and music is used for inspiration and vivacity. Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Brooke Shields all enjoy soul cycling. Jon Bon Jovi has also been known to hit the cycling studio to enjoy this new fitness trend.
#5 Hula hooping
Forget the toy hula hoops, and pick up a weighted hula hoop to melt up to 600 calories each hour while toning the body and polishing posture. Marisa Tomei began hula hooping to get in shape for her part as a dancer in the movie "The Wrestler." Beyonce, Liv Tyler and Michelle Obama have also incorporated hula hooping into their workout regimen.

Be Honest: How Competitive at the Gym Are You? (I Once Tried to Out-Gym Brooke Shields!)

I've started an amazing new spin class that's absolutely kicking my bike-loving butt. Case in point: I've used many phrases to describe my butt before, but "bike-loving" was never one of them--until this class. The instructor really pushes us to give our all... by having us compete against each other.

When our instructor wants us to pedal our absolute fastest, or get to the top of an especially rough hill, she tells us to look around the room and find someone who's going more quickly than we are... and then beat her. For me, it's extremely effective--it makes me notice how hard other people are working and take an honest look at how hard I am. And it always--always!--makes me work harder.
Other people can be great workout motivation--in fact, a recent study shows that even exercising with a group of people who aren't really there can persuade you to work out for a longer period of time. The research from Michigan State University (printed in the journal Annals of Behavioral Medicine) found that women participants who biked alone experienced a big dip in motivation, while those who had a "virtual friend" going just slightly faster than they were going didn't experience a similar dip.
I'm not an ultra-competitive person, but when it comes to exercising, it helps me keep going (and work harder) when I try to match or surpass what someone else is doing. In fact, I was once half-assing a body-sculpting class--you know, just going through the motions and, knowing me, probably fantasizing about getting a piece of pumpkin bread from Starbucks on the way home--until I realized that the very tall, very lovely woman next to me was none other than Brooke Shields. She was hitting every rep and paying close attention to her positioning--that lady clearly wasn't half-assing anything, and it snapped me into focus. I started matching my posture to hers and lifting higher than I had been, pushing myself to complete every set and not give up early. It ended up being one of the best classes ever, all thanks to Brooke--the workout buddy who had absolutely no idea she was my workout buddy.
